Acne counter over scar treatment

Preventing Acne Scares could be a somewhat complicated process especially because scarring is different in different people. Some people bear their acne scars for life while in others the skin might recuperate and the acne scars disappear. It is very difficult to predict if an individual will scar and how extensive the scaring will be. The best method of prevention is to treat the acne in its early stages of infection and maintain the treatment until the problem as been completely solved. If the inflammation can be prevented the better the change you have of avoiding deep scaring.

There are two types of Acne scars, depressed areas such as ice-pick scars, and raised thickened tissue such as keloids. The reason a person might get Acne scars is because the skin undergoes some inflammation caused by the bacteria and dead cells that are located in the sebaceous follicle. When the facial tissue endures an injury, the body tries to respond to the aggression by repairing the wound. To do this the body sends white blood cells and inflammatory molecules to fight the infection. However this natural defense may leave an ugly fibrous scar tissue. The scars may take days or even weeks to disappear. Unfortunately in some people who are more susceptible to scarring, this could leave a permanent mark.

Effective Treatment Options Available for Moderate to Severe Acne

Suffering from even a minor acne flair up can wreck your week, but suffering from continual moderate to serious acne can ruin your self esteem. There are options that can help you if you have moderate to severe acne.

One of the most common treatments for acne is a topical cream. The primary ingredient in many acne creams is benzoyl peroxide. Benzoyl Peroxide helps acne by killing acne bacteria and by reducing oil production of the skin. Youll find benzoyl peroxide products available in creams, gels, and cleaning pads. There are also other topical acne applications with different active ingredients. Youll find sulfur, salicylic acid, and resorcinol products. These are all available as over the counter treatments at your local drugstore.

Other more potent topical acne treatments are available by prescription. These are generally antibiotic based. They help stop acne by keeping the pores open and uninfected.

Sometimes a topical treatment alone cannot do the job and your dermatologist may recommend an oral antibiotic as well as a topical treatment.

Acne Prevention and Effective Remedies

Your granny might have told you about the rigorous life-style she stood by to keep acne at bay. She might also have some acne prevention tips to give you if she notices an acne or two - go for natural cleansing diets minus spices, have plenty of water, take out time for regular skin-care, so on and so forth. Following these acne prevention tips definitely renders your skin excellent service - removing acne, preventing further attacks and scar formation.

It is not necessary, however, that the bitter acne-episode of your life will come to such an easy and rapid ending. In many cases, acne returns with increased severity. Actually, the hullabaloo surrounding acne prevention was based on a vague understanding of the acne condition. However, clogging of skin pores, overactive sebaceous glands, hormonal activity and a range of different factors have been associated with acne, with each factor perpetrating acne in different age groups and under different conditions.

Microdermabrasion Acne Treatment

A microdermabrasion acne procedure is one to consider if your facial skin has suffered scarring due to nodules, cysts or other severe forms of acne. The treatment will remove the skins top layer of dead cells and smooth scarred tissue. This procedure works especially well for those who have suffered rare, disfiguring acne conditions. Microdermabrasion smooths the surface of the skin, removes very fine lines, stimulates collagen production, and reduces skin imperfections.

Microdermabrasion acne scars removal is an option for people whose severe breakouts result in scars on the face. However it will not work on acne scars that are very deeply imbedded in the skin; it is for scars that have not extremely deep, but are closer to the outer layer of skin. Its important to note that acne microdermabrasion is not a good choice for those individuals with the following conditions: rosacea, herpes, warts, eczema, lupus, and diabetes. Other conditions may also influence the safety of the treatment and a dermatologist will help to determine what is best for each patient.

How to Get Rid of Acne Scars

My boyhood was far from easy. Even though I had poor health, no one seemed to notice for this was only one of the dreadful things that were happening around me. Most of the time my family and I were on the go because we constantly had to change homes and we almost never stopped. In addition to that, my grandfather was dying, and he was quite decrepit, too. Moreover, time spent at school was a disaster. I had such a severe form of acne then that no matter how much acne cleanser I used, it simply didnt work. Even I found it hard to look at myself as my whole face was in ugly pimples and blotches. Ever since then Ive been looking for a way to get rid of these awful acne scars.

Finding a way of removing such acne scars is often connected with much money and honestly, I cannot afford it. In high school I had such terrible acne - not only deep and rough but also untreatable, that my parents finally gathered some money for treatment but even the doctor couldnt help me. Now my face looks a bit better but yet, there is no one who could give me any sound advice how I could get rid of my scars without having to pay a great deal of money for long-lasting complex procedures.
